This is not only an obligation to comply with the law but also a way for GELEX to build a transparent corporate image; demonstrate respect for shareholders and investors; show professionalism in governance and a measure of the enterprise’s capacity.

Department of Information Disclosure – GELEX Group shared: “Circular 68/2024/TT-BTC amends and supplements Article 5 of Circular No. 96/2020/TT-BTC on the language of information disclosure on the stock market of the Ministry of Finance stipulates: Listed organizations and large-scale public companies shall disclose periodic information simultaneously in English starting from January 1, 2025. However, in order to facilitate foreign investors to have easier access to information about GELEX’s operations, in addition to periodic information disclosure documents, GELEX will also disclose extraordinary information, disclose information upon request and disclose information about other operations simultaneously in English starting from January 1, 2025”. Accordingly, GELEX’s information disclosed in English will ensure consistency with the content of the Vietnamese disclosure information.

Currently, in the stock market, companies in the VN30 group, including Vingroup and its subsidiaries such as Vinhomes, Vincom Retail, along with Vinamilk, Masan, Vietjet, SSI, Sabeco, FPT, and Coteccons, are also disclosing periodic and extraordinary information in English. This indicates that most large-scale companies or those with foreign strategic shareholders are disclosing information in both English and Vietnamese.

Assessing the roadmap for disclosing information in English, SSI Research believes that this is a significant step toward aligning Vietnamese stock market with the requirements for upgrading to emerging market status by FTSE Russell. With the upgrade to emerging market status, according to preliminary estimates from SSI Research, capital flows from ETFs could reach up to USD 1.7 billion, not including capital flows from active funds (FTSE Russell estimates total assets from active funds to be 5 times higher than ETFs).

As a public company, GELEX’s Board of Directors determines that information disclosure is not only an obligation to comply with the law but also a way to build a transparent corporate image; demonstrate respect for shareholders and investors; show professionalism in governance and a measure of the enterprise’s capacity.

According to the Department of Information Disclosure – GELEX Group, GELEX’s information disclosures not only comply with regulations on time and form, but also pay attention to the quality of the published/publicized content, ensuring complete information, logic and accessibility to relevant parties.

“Currently, even with many contents/information that are not subject to mandatory disclosure, enterprises have also implemented voluntary disclosure to ensure transparency. We understand that when disclosing information transparently, fully and accurately, investors will have a positive perception and trust in the company’s development,” a GELEX representative shared.

In fact, compliance with public information disclosure requires enterprises to have a transparent and effective management system. In addition, regulations on information disclosure are not only stipulated in Circular 96/2020/TT-BTC “Guidelines for information disclosure on the stock market”, but are also scattered in laws, decrees, and specialized circulars on the securities sector.

Even the regulations on public information disclosure may change over time. Therefore, GELEX’s Department of Information Disclosure always regularly updates information, researches, synthesizes, and consults with specialized agencies on regulations to perform this task accurately.

GELEX is in the TOP of enterprises meeting the Information Disclosure standards in 2023 and 2024, according to the announcement of the IR Awards Organizing Committee.

GELEX also regularly organizes internal legal training sessions to ensure that information disclosure is coordinated and implemented smoothly and professionally.

Along with that, GELEX focuses on proactively updating information on the production and business activities, development orientation and investment segments of the Group on a variety of communication channels such as: youtube, linked, fanpage, press, event…with many modern and innovative forms. This approach generates information dissemination, reach all shareholders in particular and the investor community in general, strengthen investors’ confidence in the sustainable value of the enterprise.
