HEM is a member of the GELEX electrical equipment segment (stock code: GEX) with over 60 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining electric motors, generators, transformers, etc.

In recent years, following the overall strategy of the GELEX conglomerate, member units have continuously invested in technology and developed new products to create opportunities amidst a market with many fluctuations and stricter quality requirements.

A new milestone with outstanding products

With the company’s orientation of investing in technology changes towards products that meet European high-performance standards (IE3, IE4, etc.), after a long period of research and testing efforts, HEM’s engineering team has introduced a new electric motor product that is different and superior to the previous generation, contributing to enhancing competitiveness in the segment of designing and manufacturing electric motors.

In particular, the new electric motor with aluminum shell product has an extended lifespan, making it easy to replace components during repair or maintenance. By applying high-pressure casting technology and using bearings from world-renowned brands, the product operates stably and durably over time.

In addition, the new production technology also helps the motor save energy efficiently, significantly reducing usage costs. The premium coating is likened to an “armor” protecting the motor in harsh environments such as high humidity, dust, chemicals, saltwater, etc.

Moreover, the weight of the electric motor with aluminum shell is also lighter, only half the weight of traditional products, and the installation size meets international standards, suitable for all brands in the market.

HEM’s new products, especially electric motor with aluminum shell, are very suitable for industries such as aquaculture, conveyor systems, automation, industrial production lines, etc.

In addition to researching new products, HEM also improves existing products, such as repairing super heavy-duty electrical equipment, such as 4.194KWW generators used in the oil and gas segment or 11.5 MW generators used in the hydropower segment. These improved products have been highly appreciated by customers in the oil and gas, cement, steel, thermal power, and hydropower segments.

In particular, for the first time in Vietnam, Hanoi Electrical Mechanical Joint Stock Company (HEM) has successfully repaired a 15MW SIEMENS (Germany) engine with a voltage of up to 13.8 KV for a large corporation from Taiwan. Usually, such engines have to be sent back to the manufacturer overseas, and the repair costs are very high. However, by applying modern technology to manufacturing, HEM has been able to solve difficult problems, continuously improve itself to assert its position as a leading Vietnamese brand in the field of manufacturing and providing solutions and services for electrical equipment in Vietnam.

Transformation strategy catches up with the trend

The pressure from expanding the scale of domestic industry production, competition among companies in the segment, and the demand for energy savings and environmental protection have posed challenges for HEM to renew itself, keep up with trends, increase competitiveness, and lead the market. Currently, HEM has reorganized its production lines, improved production efficiency and product quality management, established a research and development department, and focused on researching new products and improving existing ones.
