The Chief Executive Officer inauguration ceremony was held on the morning of 6th September for Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan by Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation. At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Cuong, the Chairman of the Board of Director delivered his congratulation on the new position to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan on behalf of the Board.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan shared that, with the direction of the Board of Directors approved on August 2016 by the General Meeting of Shareholders, he and all employees would continue promoting and enhancing the career of Gelex, maintaining its local leading position in the electrical equipment industry in Vietnam, while taking its advantage and experience in exploitation and investment of new key business lines such as real estates and logistics in near future.

Gelex would continue to exploit and develop its existing business strengths, maintain the strong brands of power cables, electrical measurement instrument, transformers and current transformer (TU & TI) as what was claimed by Mr. Tuan. With the characteristics of goods movement within the Corporation, Gelex would expand to logistics to serve the Company, reduce costs, and expand its business opportunities to this promising sector by investing in favorable ports, focusing on building and completing a closed logistics chain to facilitate the Corporation to successfully satisfy the market’s logistics demand. In real estates, Gelex did not invest in property construction and development, instead of exploiting the commercial business on buildings with favorable location owned by Gelex, such as the Office Building at No. 52 Le Dai Hanh, The Trade Center Complex at No. 10 Tran Nguyen Han, Binh Minh Hotel, Melia Hotel, etc.

In order to fulfill the aforesaid business objectives, Mr. Tuan emphasized that the construction of human resource management systems and human resource development strategy continued to be the focused missions embraced by the Corporation in this period. Talent reward, application of good and competitive human resource policies, exploitation of intellectual power of individuals and groups, treasuring and preserving core values were the priorities initiated by Gelex to attract the manpower for its expansion and development.

In the inauguration ceremony, the Gelex’s community-related goals were also shared by the new Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation. With the aim of protecting the environment and public health, energy saving and security, Gelex would invest in power plant, applying such production technologies using green energy sources such as wind power and solar energy, etc.

(Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, a member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation, was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation on 26th August 2016. In addition to Gelex management, currently, Mr. Tuan is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fecon Infrastructure Company, Chairman of the Board of Management of Southern Waterborne Transport Corporation (SOWATCO), and President of South Logistics Joint Stock Company. Previously, Mr. Tuan held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of IB Securities Joint Stock Company and IB Capital Fund Management Joint Stock Company).
