After more than 2 months of hard work studying and practicing, on November 10, the Global Mini MBA – Management Thinking training program officially closed. This meaningful learning journey marked a significant milestone for the leadership and management teams of GELEX Group and its subsidiaries.

The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GELEX Group, and the Evaluation Council from the FSB Institute of Management & Technology.

At the thesis defense ceremony, the participants were divided into 4 groups and participated in defending 4 topics including: Applying Lean in inventory management at HEM; Arousing Creative Culture at GELEX Group; EMIC – Aspiration 2030; Strategy to lead employees to adapt to Digital Transformation at GELEX Group.

The participants presented and defended their thesis in groups.

The participants had a lively and engaging presentation and thesis defense, with clear and convincing presentations. The presentation created an energetic and intellectually rich academic that offered valuable lessons for both presenters and the audience.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien – Chairman of the Board of Directors of GELEX Group expressed: Over the course of two months and 8 modules, we have covered key issues in management, operations, and leadership within businesses. Thanks to the training, participants have had the opportunity to connect, let go of outdated thoughts and methods. I hope that what the participants have learned from this course will be immediately applied in practice at the upcoming Strategy Conference, the first ever organized by GELEX”.

On behalf of the participants, Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung, Deputy General Directors of GELEX Group, shared that the valuable and practical knowledge and skills from the course would help the participants apply them effectively in their work.

At first, I didn’t have high expectations for the course; I thought it would be more theoretical.  However, after completing it, I realized how practical it was and how high the learning spirit at GELEX was.. We promise to apply the knowledge gained from the course to successfully implement and deploy it at GELEX, contributing to the development of the 2030 strategy to achieve the dreams and ambitions of the GELEX team”, Mr. Nguyen Trong Trung affirmed.

Ms. Le Thi Nga – General Director of EMIC Company shared: The course was very practical. Two things left a strong impression on me: which the opportunity to explore real-world case studies from other companies shared by the instructors. In addition, I see my teammates with skills and management thinking have progressed day by day. In particular, another thing I want to apply immediately in EMIC in 2025 is to streamline production to improve product quality, improve product stability and minimize waste.

Speaker Hoang Nam Tien shared the topic “True Leadership”.

The event was honored to welcome speaker Hoang Nam Tien – Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, who shared profound views on the topic “True Leadership”. With his extensive experience in management, Mr. Tien not only imparted valuable lessons on leadership but also inspired new thoughts on how to build and develop teams, as well as the essential qualities of a true leader. His sharing has created strong inspiration and motivated participants to reflect on their own leadership path in the future.

Starting on September 7, 2024, the Global Mini MBA – Management Thinking training course has gone through 30 sessions with 8 topics and 1 Bootcamp, participants have equipped themselves with more management knowledge, including: Human resource management 4.0; Strategic management and leadership; Financial information-based decision making; Marketing management; Lean operations management; Change management; Relationship and partnership development; Building strong company culture for longevity.

The experienced and dedicated instructors from the FSB Institute of Management & Technology introduced flexible and creative learning methods, such as: Constructivism learning method: Combining different learning methods such as project-based learning, problems and practical activities, making the lesson more interesting. 2C Game Method: Enhance teamwork and interaction between groups to solve problems together. Hollywood Teaching Plan Method: Based on the unexpected changes in blockbuster movies, FSB has diversified the lecture format with case studies, bootcamps and combined presentations.

At the end of the course, FSB Institute of Management & Technology awarded prizes to groups that defended their excellent topics, honored and awarded scholarships to outstanding participants.
